1. Indian Exports:
During 2007 Indian exports to Ecuador amounted to US$ 60.55mn. representing a 21.85% increase in exports as compared to the year 2006. The trend of total Indian exports to Colombia during the last 8 years is represented in the following chart.
From January to May 2008 Indian exports to Ecuador rose to US $ 33.61 million, an increase of 41.04% in respect of the same period in 2007
2. Principle exports of India to Ecuador:
Principle exports of India to Ecuador during 2007 were: Iron and Steel (US $ 16mn.), articles of rubber (US$ 7 mn.), machinery (US$ 7 mn.), vehicles and autoparts (US$ 6 mn.), organic chemicals (US$ 5 mn.) anf pharmaceutical products (US$ 4 mn.). 3. Ecuadorian exports to India:
Ecuadorian exports to India during 2007 increased by 51.55% over the year 2006 registering US$ 102.27 mn. The principle exports from Ecuador to India in 2007 were Combustion Material and Oil (US $ 94.48 mn.) that accounted for 98.37% of its total exports. The other products (Wrought Iron and Steel among others) accounted for a very small percentage. The trend of exports of these products during the last 2 years is represented in the following diagram
