Mahatma Gandhi's bust in Medellin

The innauguration of the Mahatma Gandhi's bust at the Museum of Memory at Bicentenario Park will take place on May 21 2013 at 5:00 pm. The cityhall of Medellín and the Embassy ofIndia have installed the bust, with the help of the Honorary Indian Consulate in Medellín.  The bust was donated by the Indian Council for Cultural Relations ICCR and was brought directly from India.

Employment visa (up to 1 year)

One year employment visas for first- time employment in India are processed by this Embassy.  All cases of renewal of Employment Visas or change of Employer in India need to be processed in India as per the requirement of FRRO (Foreigners Regional Registration Office). This Embassy will not be able to entertain any renewal cases.

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR  INDIAN EMPLOYMENT VISA
 
1. TWO PHOTOGRAPHS AND COMPLETED APPLICATION FORM.
2. EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT COPY SIGNED BY BOTH EMPLOYER AND EMPLOYEE.
3. RECOMMENDATORY LETTER FROM THE EMPLOYER INDICATING THE PERIOD OF VISA REQUIRED (TO BE IN LINE WITH THE CONTRACT).  EMPLOYER SHOULD ALSO STATE THE SPECIAL NATURE OF THE QUALIFICATIONS OF THE INDIVIDUAL AND NON-AVAILABILITY OF A SUITABLE PERSON WITH EQUIVALENT QUALITIFICATIONS OR EXPERIENCE WITHIN INDIA, DESPITE EFFORTS MADE      (PROOF OF SUCH EFFORTS TO BE PROVIDED). THE EMPLOYER SHOULD ALSO INDICATE THE TOTAL NUMBER OF EMPLOYEES FROM FOREIGN COUNTRIES VIS-À-VIS THE TOTAL NUMBER OF INDIAN EMPLOYEES RECRUITED FOR SIMILAR OR OTHER TECHNICAL/SKILLED POSTS. 
4. CERTIFICATE OF REGISTRATION WITH REGISTER OF COMPANIES IN INDIA.

5. CERTIFICATE OF EXISTENCE OF COMPANY TO BE GIVEN BY A COMPETENT AUTHORITY(CHAMBER OF COMMERCE OR EXPORT PROMOTION COUNCIL) OR ANY RELATED GOVT DEPARTMENT, WHERE THE COMPANY IS REGISTERED.
6.AUTHENTICATED COPIES OF EDUCATIONAL CERTIFICATES DULY CERTIFIED BY THE ASSOCIATION OF INDIAN UNIVERSITIES OR THE CONCERNED COMPETENT AUTHORITY IN INDIA THAT THE EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS ARE DULY RECOGNISED IN INDIA.
7. MEDICAL FITNESS CERTIFICATE.
8. ALL CERTIFICATIONS ORIGINATING IN INDIA SHOULD BE FIRST NOTARIZED LOCALLY, SUBSEQUENTLY ATTESTED BY ATTESTATION AUTHORITY OF THE STATE GOVERMENT OF ORIGIN AND FINALLY BY THE MINISTRY OF EXTERNAL AFFAIRS NEW DELHI BEFORE THEY ARE SUBMITED TO THIS EMBASSY FOR EMPLOYMENT VISA.
9. DOCUMENTS/CERTIFICATIONS IN SPANISH LANGUAGE SHOULD BE ACCOMPANIED BY AN OFFICIAL TRANSLATION IN ENGLISH WHICH WOULD BE REQUIRED TO BE NOTARIZED AND THEN ATTESTED BY THE MINISTRY OF FOREIGN RELATIONS OF COLOMBIA/ECUADOR/COSTA RICA, BEFORE PRESENTATION TO THIS EMBASSY
