Issue of Visas to applicants from Colombia and Ecuador.

Only Visa applications complete in all respects, with the prescribed. Fees, as per the guidelines for the visa category being applied for would be accepted and processed.

Incomplete applications would be accepted but will be processed only when complete in all respects. The Embassy will not be responsible for delay in processing/issue of visa due to receipt of incomplete applications.

Embassy of India informs to Applicants that Visa period starts from the date documents are submitting at the Embassy and not from the estimated date of travel. Visa period is according to the information provided in the Application Form and at Consul’s discretion.

Tourist visa can be requested up to 6 months.

 

GUIDELINES FOR TOURIST VISAS AND CURRENT RATES

 

INFORMATION FOR APPLICANTS IN COLOMBIA

LIST OF DOCUMENTS TO BE SENT TO: Embajada de la India Calle 116 # 7-15 Int.2. Of.301 Torre Cusezar, Santa Bárbara de Bogotá, Colombia 

  1. The passport with a minimum validity of one (1) Year with at least three continuous blank pages
  2. Duly filled application form with signatures and photo uploaded. White background photo uploaded into the system. White background photo 5x5cm pasted to the form. It has to be signed on both pages (in the 2 spaces required) (On-line application form)
  3. Personal bank statements of the past three months with a minimum balance of $ 2,000,000 COP
  4. In case, your spouse/parents will be responsible for your expenses, please attach a notarize letter stating responsibility for trip expenses along with the copy of the birth registration or marriage certificate.
  5. Flight reservation or copy of air ticket.
  6. Copy of International Yellow Fever vaccination certificate.
  7. Signed Consent Format (Download here)
  8. Applicant with dual nationality must attach copy of the non- applying passport (Please note that the applicant can choose the passport to apply with)
  9. Original bank deposit slip COP $ 340,000

Note 1: All interbank and commissions fees must be covered by Visa Applicant. Intermediary bank usually charges between USD20 to USD $ 50 for fee commission.

Note 2: Payment for returning documents by DHL is optional USD $ 50 for every 2 passports (payment by bank transfer). Applicant’s address should be included in the application including ZIP code (www.codigopostal.gob .ec).

Another option to get Applicant’s passport back is through Applicant’s request for a "collection service" in DHL offices in Ecuador.

COLOMBIAN AND ECUADORIAN CITIZENS APPLYING FOR 5 YEAR TOURIST VISA

In accordance with the liberalization of visa regime, the Colombian and Ecuadorian tourists and Businessmen can now apply for long term visa up to 5 years. As per the initiative of the Government towards Digital India, these visas will be supported by Biometric collection. Such applicants will have to come personally at the Embassy in Bogota for giving their biometric prints. The detailed guidelines in this regard are as follows:
