Indian Handicrafts in Colombia

The Embassy of  India in Bogota, in collaboration with the Development Commissioner for Handicrafts, Government of India and the Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts (EPCH) organized a cultural seminal in Bogota on 27 November, 2008 to present the latest developments in the handicrafts industry in India.
The event was addressed by the Ambassador of India, the Development Commissioner and the Executive Director of EPCH.  India’s handicrafts and textiles are extremely popular in Colombia and gaining a better image as well as market in this country.
The event, which included a cocktail and dinner, was also embellished by a dance performance in classical Bharatanatyam style by the renowned exponent Ms Priyadarsini Govind accompanied by four of her musicians, Shri Sigmani Natarajan, Shri Sakthivel Muruganathan Subramanian, Shri Sajilal Kalathil Narayanan and Shri Deepu Karunakaran Nair.
