Festival of India in Ecuador

FESTIVAL OF INDIA IN ECUADOR


The Festival of India in Ecuador opened at the prestigious Hilton Colon Guayaquil on 19 November at a gala dinner at which the Vice President of Ecuador, Mr. Lenin Moreno, was the chief guest along with his family.

The Festival includes the following components : Gastronomy, with the presence of three Indian Chefs from the India Tourism Development Corporation advising the Hotel and preparing special buffets; an Indian dance troupe of the famous academy Natyalaya; ambientation of the venue with handicrafts, décor and posters from India; and a series of Indian films sub-titled in Spanish showing in the hotel.

The Festival from 19-29 November was yet another high spot and an attempt to promote India as a tourism destination in the important city of Guayaquil.
