ITEC Day

Indian Technical & Economic Cooperation (ITEC) Day was celebrated on Friday, October 15, 2010 at the Embassy of India, Bogota.  About 30 ITEC scholars from Colombia, who during the last eight years attended training programmes in India in the field of Information Technology, Management, Rural Development, Renewable Energy, Remote Sensing, Industrial Training, Women Entrepreneurship, etc. attended the event. Colombian officials, Colombian and Indian businessmen and Indian nationals also attended the programme. Ambassador R.V. Warjri welcomed  the guests and gave an overview of the ITEC.  A presentation on various components of ITEC Programme has also been made.  The representative of ICETEX has also made a brief presentation on selection process of ITEC candidates before sending the candidatures for various scholarships.   Three ITEC scholars have also shared their training experiences and utility of the training programme.
