From November 21st to 25th 2011 the Food Festival of India took place at Radisson Hotel in Bogotá. Three chefs came from India in order to showcase the taste of Indian cuisine, among the most famous and reputed of the world. The event was organised by the Embassy of India in Colombia, and many people attended it, who enjoyed the diversity of Indian food. Several local media covered the event, in which also participated a dance troop from the state of Rajasthan.

A 8 meber delegation of Software companies led by the Computer & Software Export Promotion Council of India (ESC) visited San José to participate in Costa Rica Technology Insight 2011, an IT trade fair organised by the Costa Rican Agency for Foreign Trade PROCOMER. The Government of India is offering one or two scholarships for studying Ayurvedic Medicine in India to Colombian, Ecuadorian & Costa Rican nationals commencing July, 2011. The Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery has duration of four years. Students, who completed schooling of 10 + 2 level with Science subjects, are eligible to apply. The Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of Costa Rica organized the First International Fair of Scholarship opportunities for Higher Education, which was participated by Embassies of India, France, Germany, Switzerland, Japan and Spain, in addition of Ministries of Education, External Relations, Science and Technology, etc., from March 26-27, 2011 in San Jose. On 16, 18 and 22 march 2011, an Indian commercial multidelegation visited Colombia. The delegation included the Indian Export Promotion Councils of Engineering (EEPC), Cotton Textiles (TEXPROCIL), Chemical and Allied Products (Capexil) and Chemical products (Chemexcil). Embassy of India in association with India.Colombia Chamber of Commerce organised India Economic forum entitled "India: A Country which break Paradigms" on 24 February 2011. The forum was inaugrated by President of India Colombia Chamber of Commerce Mr. Jaime Mantilla. The key note address was delivered by Ambassador of India Mr. Riewad V. Warjri.

The 62nd anniversary of Republic Day of India was celebrated by the Embassy of India at the Residence of Ambassador of India, Shri Riewad V. Warjri, on 26 January 2011.Among the illustrious guests were Minister of Information Technology and Communications Mr. Diego Molano Vega : Ms. Monica Lanzeta, the acting Foreign Minister of Colombia, senior officials of the Government of the Republic of Colombia; Ambassadors of several countries and representatives of international organizations; and other dignitaries.
