ITEC Day Celebration

 The ITEC day celebration took place on November 19 2012 at the Embassy premises. The ITEC program is an inniciative of the Government of India and grant 45 scholarships per year to Colombian nationals in several courses that range from english improvement to state of the art engineering courses.  More than 500 Colombian students have been awarded with ITEC scholarships. The event was also an opportunity to give farewell an academic mission from the Sabana University, composed by 35 student who will visit India as a part of their academic program.  Officers from the Apparel Export Promotion Council of India, who were in Colombia participating in a BSM organised by the Embassy, were also present.

Apparel BSM in Bogota

A 12-member delegation from the Apparel Export Promotion Council of India visited Bogota on November 19 2012, to participate in a Buyer-Seller Meet organised by the Indian Embassy in Colombia. The event took place in the Royal Park hotel and several important Colombian companies attanded the venue in order to explore commercial possibilities  with the Indian companies.

III Festival of Non-Violence

The Mahatma Gandhi Foundation organized the III Festival of Non- Violence in Medellín from September 30 2012 to October 6 2012.  The Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi's birthday (2nd October) was also celebrated.

Several activities took place during the festival and many persons attended the activities.  The aim of the festival is to make citizens aware of their right to the Non- Violence.
