The innauguration of the Mahatma Gandhi's bust at the Museum of Memory at Bicentenario Park will take place on May 21 2013 at 5:00 pm. The cityhall of Medellín and the Embassy ofIndia have installed the bust, with the help of the Honorary Indian Consulate in Medellín. The bust was donated by the Indian Council for Cultural Relations ICCR and was brought directly from India.

The Expo India 2012 Buyer-Seller meet took place on march 1st 2012, organised by the Embassy of India and the India - Colombia Chamber of Commerce. 33 companies from the Export Promotion Council of Pharmaceutical Products of India PHARMEXCIL and 13 companies from the Cotton Textiles Export Promotion Council of India TEXPROCIL participated in the event. More than 150 people attended the inauguration ceremony and around 80 colombian companies took part in the BSM. organizada por la Embajada de la India y la Cámara de Comercio Colombia India. On the next day, delegates from both councils met local companies and authorities. The visit was a total success and enhanced the commercial relations between Colombia & India.
