| Mahatma Gandhi's bust in Medellin |
The innauguration of the Mahatma Gandhi's bust at the Museum of Memory at Bicentenario Park will take place on May 21 2013 at 5:00 pm. The cityhall of Medellín and the Embassy ofIndia have installed the bust, with the help of the Honorary Indian Consulate in Medellín. The bust was donated by the Indian Council for Cultural Relations ICCR and was brought directly from India.

Donation of medicines to Government of Ecuador by Government of India
In view of the national emergency in Ecuador, the Government of India has airlifted the generic medicines to the friendly Government of Ecuador. The donation of these generic medicines corresponds to a list of required medicines provided by the Government of Ecuador and amount in value to approximately US$200,000. A consignment of medicines from Cipro Pharmaceuticals in 18 cartons weighing 275 Kgs has already been received by the Ministry of Health of the Government of Ecuador in the last week of February. These medicines are in the nature of analgesico, antituberculosis, antihistaminico, antidiabetico, antiulceroso and antiretroviral. Another consignment of antiretroviral drugs from Cipla Pharmaceuticals in 74 cartons weighing about 500 Kgs has also reached Quito on 6th March 2008.
The third consignment of medicines of two 40´foot containers of 3151 cartons from IPCA Laboratories Ltd of India reached Guayaquil on 13th March 2008. This consignment contains medicines belonging to the therapeutic groups like analgesico, antibioticos, antihimeticos, antiinflamatorios, antiparasitarios, antipaludicos etc. Earlier, in November 2007, the Government of Ecuador received 19 cartons of antihmeticos and antipaludicos group of medicines weighing 92 Kgs which were lifted by air by IPCA Laboratories as part of this donation.
