Gandhiji’s Autobiography in Costa Rica

The President of the Republic of Costa Rica, Dr. Oscar Arias Sanchez baptized and launched the autobiography of Mahatma Gandhi - The story of my experiments with truth – in San Jose, the capital of Costa Rica on 16 September, 2008.
           
The autobiography, in Spanish translation, was published by the editorial department of the University of Costa Rica, financed by the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India.  The book carries a prologue written by President Oscar Arias Sanchez.
           
Speaking on the occasion, President Oscar Arias praised the philosophy of Mahatma Gandhi and reminded the audience of Ministers, Ambassadors, public functionaries, Indian community, media and scholars of the Indian ITEC programme about the need to abjure  non-violence.
           
Ambassador Shri Deepak Bhojwani, speaking on the same occasion, outlined Gandhiji’s philosophy and thanked President Oscar Arias for patronizing the publication and launch of this seminal work.  Copy of the autobiography was widely distributed to the audience.
