Honorary Consul of India in Medellin

Mrs. Jenny Adriana Luna Marquez (Mrs. Jenny Luna) has been appointed Honorary Consul of India based in Medellin with jurisdiction over the Departments of Antioquia, Valle del Cauca and Choco.

India´s relations with Colombia have gathered momentum and the western region of the country, particularly in and around the Colombian cities of Medellin and Cali, has a growing Indian presence and is extremely important in the bilateral relationship. Several Indians are working and living in this region and the Government of India, recognizing this fact, has decided to set up an official representation.

Mrs. Jenny Luna has been a friend of India and, as the co-President of the famous Colombian air transport company, SEARCA, has extensive knowledge of the country and the region. She is also untiring in her efforts to promote India and help the Indian business and the community. Her appointment will serve to consolidate and strengthen India´s presence in Colombia.
