28 Member Indian delegation visited Bogota

Prof. Saugata Roy, Minister Of State for Urban Developement led a 28 Member delegation of his Ministry and from the State Transport Departments of Karnataka, Maharashtra, Madhya |Pradesh and Chattisgarh, which visited Bogota from September 28 to October 3, 2010. The Study Tour was organized by the World Environment Fund of the World Bank on Sustainable Urban Transport Systems. The delegation had a briefing meeting on September 30, with the Senior Advisor to the Colombian Transport Minister (in the absence from Bognta of the Minister), on conception, planning, financing and operation of Transmillenio in Bogota and Mass Rapid Transportation in other cities of Colombia. Transmilenio has also made a presentation on minute details of the operations of Transmilenio at its Headquarters, and showed its Control Room on October 1, 2010.
