EEPC India in collaboration with Embassy of India participated in the Bogota International Fair 2010, with the largest business delegation visiting Colombia. India was the guest country with participation of 151 Indian Companies from Engineering, Chemicals and Plastics sector.
The main objective was to explore the Colombian market and find strategic partners. The interest of the big Indian delegation was not only to capitalize on the growing bilateral trade but also understand the potential of the rising Colombian economy. Indian businessmen visiting Colombia were manufacturer of agricultural machinery, chemicals, automotive components, construction tools, castings and forgings, appliances, machinery for the textile and electrical equipment, engines and turbines, among others.
On 4 October India pavilion was inaugurated by Ambassador Of India, Shri Riewad Warjri, along with the Chairman of EEPC, Shri Aman Chadha, by cutting the ribbon and lighting the lamp; EEPC India and ANDI signed a MoU on 5 October. A Cultural Evening was organized on 6 October which was a huge success. Finally, on October 7 the delegation met the Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos in Presidential Palace (Casa de Nariño).
