Bollywood in Colombia

On 3rd, 4th and 5th December 2010, at the 'Teatro ECCI' the 'Asociación Amigos de India-Colombia', organised the first ever Bollywood Show and Workshop entitled 'Bailamos Bollywood en Colombia' led by the  renowned Bollywood choreographer Sunny Singh.  He  was accompanied on stage by more than 60  Colombian and Indian artists.

On the 3rd of December the show was inaugurated by the Ambassador of India, Shri Riewad Warjri. He was accompanied by officials of Indian Embassy. 

The two days show was attended by more than 900 people, who got the opportunity to experience the richness of Indian dance and music in various Bollywood movies . During the show, Sunny Singh demonstrated to the audience on  how to dance to Indian music.

On 4th and 5th of December, a dance workshop was conducted  by Sunny Singh. It was attended by more than 50 dancers.  A certificate of participation was given to each dancer.

This event was widely publicised through print and electronic media like El Tiempo, W Radio, Caracol Radio, La República, to name a few. This event created wide interest and awareness about Indian culture   in general  and Bollywood music and dance in particular.
