Attestation of Documents

All documents emanating from India for production in other countries are required to be authenticated by the nodal Ministry/Department of the Concerned State Government and  the Consular Section of Ministry of External Affairs, New Delhi  in the first instance and then the documents will be further authenticated by the Embassy of the country concerned before producing the same for attestation by this Embassy. Documents executed in countries under this Embassy's jurisdiction before the notaries and authenticated by the respective Ministries of External Relations can be attested by this Embassy, provided they are accompanied with official english translation of the contents.

Passport, copy of stay permit/identity card is to be enclosed with application letter addressed to this Embassy requesting the service and an additional copy of the document to be attested.  

Fees (per stamp and signature):

1) Col Pesos 59,00/- or USD 23/- per attestation of civil documents (eg. Degree/Marriage certificates, Affidavits, Sponsorship certificates, Power of Attorney, Driving Licence etc.)

2) Fee in case of Attestation of Commercial document  Col Pesos 181,000 o USD 68/-

3) Attestation of Comercial Documents pertaining to exports from a foreign country to India Col Pesos. 235,000/- OR USD 88/-
