The Vice Chief of the Army Staff of India visits Colombia.
Lt. Gen. M.L. Naidu (VCOAS) led a defence delegation to Colombia on 14-15 February 2008. VCOAS called on the Minister of Defence of Colombia, Mr. Juan Manuel Santos and met with the Colombian Chief of the Armed Forces, Gen. Freddy Padilla de Leon as well as with the Chief of the Army, Gen. Mario Montoya, the Chief of the Navy, Gen. Guillermo Barrera, the Chief of the Air Forces, Gen. Jorge Ballesteros Rodriguez and other high officials of the Colombian Armed Forces. VCOAS also had a briefing from the Narcotics Control authorities. On 15th February 2008 VCOAS visited the Colombian military base at Tolemaida.
